As my day started again on Wednesday, I was very optimistic that I was going to get back on track and start winning again. Wednesday's are the best days for promotions: 1) High hand spins a wheel that can win from $50 to $250 2) Ace High Heart Flushes pay $75 and 3) they draw 10 names for the whole casino and the winners get $500 each. Not to mention that the games are the best on these days because the action is so good.
Playing with the morning crowd (older crowd), my aggressive style works best as I am able make many continuation bets with little resistance. The problem is about 1pm when the younger or more loose players come in, I need to really tone down the aggressiveness. I always new this, yet I think that since I been playing so many hours, I tend to forget. Also, when I start losing, the aggressiveness for me is hard to tone down because I am really anxious for the next pot.
Well, Wednesday became a losing day during the last couple of hours of the night because I did not tone down my aggressiveness. I ran cold and did not win a hand for over 2 hours. My continuation bets and lead bets with mediocre hands is exactly what killed me and turned me from a $60 winner to a $37 loser.
I know the problem, now I need to fix it!
Full Tilt Balance - $15.22
$.05/$.10 PL Omaha Hi/Lo Cash game - $2.50 buy-in
I decided to try another cash game and ended up doubling up my $2.50 buy-in within 20 minutes of play. I had A2KK with AK of spades suited, and raised to 45 cents, another player reraised and I went all-in. The players had A237 and after only one low card in the board, I won the pot with my kings. I ended up cashing out $5.10 when the blinds hit me.
$1.25 NL Holdem SNG MTT - 45 players
I was exhausted by the time I played this game and really should not have got involved. I played a decent game however, but when I ran into Aces toward the end of tourney, I finished 10th and out of the money.
Full Tilt Ending Balance - $16.57
